On Saturday, April 26th, Ferbane/Belmont retained their Offaly Féile na nÓg title beating Shanrocks in an exciting final by 4 points. (1-4 to 0-3). They will now represent Offaly once again as Féile champions in Kildare on the weekend of July 3rd, 4th and hopefully the 5th as well. After last years one-point defeat to the eventual Division 2 winners Aghamore from Mayo, the lads will be trying to go one step further in 2009. Best of luck to all the team and managers, Gary Rigney, Johnny Fleming and Ronan Cassidy. |

Our Féile Chill Dara hosts were Eadestown GAA Club. Eadestown is about 6 miles from Naas on the road to Blessington. Many thanks to Eadestown Club and host families for giving us an unforgettable weekend. The team performed very well as Offaly champions only losing a single match to the eventual group winners, Celbridge (our old friends from Féile na nGael 2008). |
